FESTAL ALLELUIA (2026)

This "festal" Alleluia is written for the Roman Catholic liturgy, to be used during any Sunday away from penitential seasons, but especially intended to use on feast days. It is written for community/volunteer parish choirs who are able to sing a little bit of four-part harmony, but mixes in unison sections and organ accompaniment for extra support.

In the score below is the Antiphon (the first page) which would remain the same regardless of the day used. The verse, however, is a Proper which changes daily. Due to the unmetered rhythm of the verses, these are best written as unmetered chant with light organ support. This version uses the verse for the Quinquagesima, also known as the last Sunday before Lent. Also below is a MIDI rendered of the antiphon.
